BioTaiwan, the biggest annual event in domestic biotechnology industry, has opened in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from July 23, 2015. The scale of this four-day exhibition is unprecedented with record-breaking number of exhibitors and participants. President Ma Ying-jeou was invited to attend the opening ceremony of BioTaiwan 2015 and gave the Outstanding Biotechnology Industry Award of 2015 to the four most prominent biotechnology companies personally. Among numerous biotechnology players, Nangkuang, Taigen, PharmaEssentia, and National Yang Ming University are the biggest winners this year. Mr. Chao-Yih Chen, Chairman of Taiwan Bio Industry Organization, expressed that the Outstanding Biotechnology Industry Award aims to praise potential biotechnology companies or research institutes with outstanding performances. There are a large number of contestants this year coming from a wide variety of areas, which include pharmaceuticals, medical devices, molecular testing, and agricultural biotechnology. 

The biggest parenteral injections manufacturer of Taiwan, Nangkuang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has gained remarkable achievements repeatedly in international marketing.
